I don't have a hunting license, do I need one?

What do I need to do in order to schedule a hunt?

Can you handle a special event or corporate outings?

Yes, The Harkey Ranch is available to host almost any special occasions. Let a blue Texas sky or a blanket of stars set the mood for your upcoming special occasions. Our guest accommodations are flexible for a variety of groups or individual bookings.

Is the ranch high fenced?

Yes, our ranch is high fenced.

How do I get to the ranch? Is there an airport close by?

Once booked we will provide driving directions to the ranch, we are 1.5 hours from the Austin, Texas metropolitan area which provides easy access for domestic and international travelers. Austin-Bergstrom is the closest and most convenient commercial airport. Private air travel - The ranch has a 4,200 ft. paved runaway with FAA identifier 8TX6.

Do you accommodate bow hunters on the ranch?

Yes, Bow hunters can be selectively accommodated. Please call us to discuss further at (325)643.0223.

Are hunts available year round?

Yes, Some exotics hunts are available year round. Whitetail hunts are available during the regular hunting seasons as per the rules by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Call us for more details at (325)643.0223

Is there a shooting range available to site my gun in with?

Yes, our ranch offers a shooting range.

Can I bring my family and/or friends along with me for my hunt?

Yes, guests can be accommodated. Simply discuss your needs at the time of booking.

What should I bring with me on my hunt?

Appropriate hunting clothes, personal items, hunting license, rifle and your ammunition.

Can I hunt with a bow?

No, we do not allow bow hunting on the ranch, all hunts will be with rifle.
